Abdulramon Jimoh, a recent graduate of Ekiti State University (EKSU), is making headlines after sharing a powerful story of academic transformation, having raised his CGPA from 3.8 to an impressive 4.58 to earn a First Class degree in B.Sc (Ed) Economics.
In a heartfelt post on LinkedIn, Abdulramon described his journey not just as a graduation milestone but as a testament to grit, grace, and unwavering growth. “This isn’t just a graduation post—it’s a testimony of grace, grit, and growth,” he wrote.
Starting with a CGPA of 3.8, Jimoh admitted that while it was solid, it wasn’t the First Class he aspired to. “Not for the title, but for the story it would tell—about discipline, consistency, and sacrifice,” he explained. That pursuit saw him sacrifice comfort and convenience: burning the midnight oil, using food money for academic materials, skipping hangouts, and turning down distractions to focus on his goals.
He shared three key lessons from his academic experience:
