NELFUND has warned students against fake loan application websites, stressing that the only official portal is www.nelf.gov.ng and urging them to avoid unauthorized platforms.


The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has cautioned students against falling victim to fraudulent websites posing as official loan application portals.
In a statement issued on Saturday by its Director of Corporate Communications, Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, NELFUND reaffirmed its commitment to providing financial support to eligible students while urging them to be wary of deceptive platforms.
“The Nigerian Education Loan Fund wishes to reiterate that the ONLY official portal for student loan applications is www.nelf.gov.ng,” the statement read.
Students and the public were advised to ignore any other websites, links, or messages claiming to offer access to the student loan scheme, as they are unauthorized and untrustworthy.
NELFUND emphasized its dedication to a transparent and secure loan process, encouraging students to visit its official website or follow verified social media handles for accurate updates
