“My Teacher’s Outrageous Salary Pushed Me to Travel Abroad” – African Man in Europe

Cursory: A young man revealed what led him to leave his country in quest of better opportunities abroad. The man claimed in a video that his teacher’s pay was a key motivator for him. Internet users have reacted to his story.

A young Ghanaian guy claimed that after learning his teacher’s monthly salary from him in senior high school, he made the decision to leave Ghana.

Jeff, who is currently based in the Netherlands, stated in an interview with SVTV Africa that one of his teachers at Kumasi Senior High Technical School in 2014 confided in him that his monthly salary was 65,468 naira and that he (the teacher) was planning to quit the job in search of greener pastures abroad if the opportunity presented itself.

Jeff claimed the man advised him to travel abroad rather than pursue his dream of becoming a teacher, discouraging Jeff from doing so. He went to South Korea in 2017 as suggested by the instructor.

“I wanted to become a teacher but he advised me against it and told me to rather travel abroad,” he said.

The young man, now in the Netherlands, recommended those with the resources to move abroad to do so because, in his opinion, there are plenty of work chances abroad.

Ghanaians have responded to the video and expressed their opinions about Jeff’s choice to leave the country in quest of a brighter future.

16emmanuel malti: Dj one thing I noticed in this interview is that your guest wanted to establish something in his home country regardless of the opportunity he had abroad but the system in Ghana wasn’t helping. Dj your guest is proactive and a goal-getter. Thank you for sharing your story with us. God bless you Mr. Jeff

Khaled West: One of the best interviews in my humble opinion❤. Keep it up, DJ Nyame ✊

Yaa Manu: In my opinion, is all about management and planning. Am also in the Nederlands for almost 18 years. We the blacks don’t plan our lives good. I know poeple here, who has been here over 25 years, with good jobs. But still broke. Always complaining. So is all about good planning. You can have little, but can still plan and manage.

Gifty Deb: One of the best interview. Thanks for sharing this important message with us. Tough guy. Business oriented guy. Thanks DJN ❤❤❤
