After earning a diploma in Occupational Therapy, Olanrewaju Timileyin courageously rewrote the JAMB exam to pursue Nursing, scored an impressive 311, and credited her success to faith, family, and relentless dedication.

allscho Olanrewaju Timileyin, a determined young Nigerian woman, has inspired many after rewriting the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exam in pursuit of a new academic path—Nursing—despite already holding a diploma in Occupational Therapy.
Timileyin, who graduated from the Federal School of Occupational Therapy in 2024, chose to fulfill her mother’s dream by pursuing Nursing. To do so, she bravely sat for the JAMB UTME exam again and scored an impressive 311 out of 400.
Initially daunted by the thought of relearning subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, she dedicated herself to five months of rigorous preparation. Her efforts paid off with remarkable scores: 88 in Chemistry, 80 in Physics, 74 in Biology, and 69 in English.
“I didn’t know if I could do it anymore,” she shared in a heartfelt TikTok video. “But I held on to God, and He strengthened me when I almost gave up.”
Timileyin credited her success to divine grace, her supportive family—especially her mother and sister—and her dedicated tutor. She also praised her friend and study partner for being a pillar of support during challenging moments.
Key to her preparation was the use of the “Test Driller” app, which helped her sharpen her skills and regain confidence.
Grateful and motivated, Timileyin sees her story as a reminder that delay is not denial. “When God says yes, no one can say no,” she declared, encouraging others not to give up on their dreams no matter how long it takes.
