University of Lagos, UNILAG Distance Learning Institute (DLI) Residential Programme 2024/2025


The Distance Learning Institute (DLI) Residential Programme for the 2024/2025 academic session has been scheduled as follows:
1.0 Arrival of DLI Students for Residential Programme
A. The 2024/2025 DLI Residential Programme will commence from Sunday, September 7, 2025 and end on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
B. Course registration for 2024/2025 session is to be completed on or before Friday, September 5, 2025, for Year 3 – 5 students and Friday, September 26, 2025, for Year 1 & 2 students.
C. Immediately after the completion of course registration, the “Hostel Application Button” will be enabled for allocation of hostel bed space.
D. Upon resumption on campus, students are to report to Halls of Residence as indicated in the print-out of their accommodation slips with the following documents:
i. Receipt of payment of full service charge for the current session.
ii. Two (2) copies of the print-out of Accommodation Slip.
iii. Evidence of registration with the University Medical Centre.
2.0 SCHEDULE OF ARRIVAL FOR THE 2024/2025 RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMME
i. Sunday, September 7, 2025: Year 3 – 5 students move into Halls of Residence.
ii. Tuesday, September 9 – Saturday, September 13, 2025: Lecture mop up (one week) for Year 3 – 5 students.
iii. Saturday, September 13, 2025: GST Examinations for Year 3 – 5 & all GST carryover courses at lower levels for Year 3 – 5 only.
iv. Monday, September 15, 2025: Examinations commence for Year 3 – 5 students.
v. Saturday, September 27, 2025: Examinations end for Year 3 – 5 students.
vi. Saturday, September 27, 2025: Year 3 – 5 students vacate the Halls of Residence.
vii. Sunday, September 28, 2025: Year 1 &2 students move into Halls of Residence.
viii. Monday, September 29 – Saturday, October 4, 2025: Lecture mop up (one week) for Year 1 & 2 students.
ix. Friday, October 3 & Saturday, October 4, 2025: GST Examinations for Year 1 & 2 students including all carryover GST courses for Year 2.
x. Monday, October 6, 2025: Examinations commence for Year 1 & 2 students.
xi. Saturday, October 18, 2025: Examinations end for Year 1 & 2 students.
xii. Saturday, October 18, 2025: Year 1 &2 students vacate the Halls of Residence.
3.0 EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS
i. Students are to complete payment of fees on or before Monday, September 1, 2025 for Year 3–5 and Monday, September 22, 2025 for Year 1 & 2.
ii. Registration of courses for all Year 3 – 5 students ends on Friday, September 5, 2025 and ends on Friday, September 26, 2025 for Year 1 & 2 students.
iii. Add and delete registration of course(s) for all students’ ends on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 for Year 3 – 5 and Tuesday, September 30, 2025 for Year 1 & 2. There shall be no further extension after the closing dates.
iv. Students are required to come to the Examination Centre with one recent passport photograph for each registered course.
v. Examination dockets would be enabled for printing with effect from Monday, September 8 to Friday, September 12, 2025 for Year 3 – 5 students and Monday, September 29 to Thursday, October 2, 2025 for Year 1 & 2 students.
vi. Defense of Research Project for final year students commence on Saturday, June 28, 2025 and end on Saturday, July 26, 2025.
Please note that ONLY students of the Institute who are fully registered will be allowed to write examination.
4.0 SPECIAL PLEA TO EMPLOYERS
THE DISTANCE LEARNING INSTITUTE (DLI) MANAGEMENT APPEALS TO EMPLOYERS TO KINDLY RELEASE THEIR RESPECTIVE EMPLOYEES WHO ARE DLI STUDENTS. THIS IS TO ENABLE THEM PARTICIPATE IN THE FORTHCOMING RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMME, DURING WHICH THE 2024/2025 SESSIONAL EXAMINATION WILL BE CONDUCTED
