FG Celebrates 17-year-old Nafisa Aminu For Emerging World’s Best In English

The Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, CON, and Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suiwaba Sa’id Ahmed, have commended Miss Nafisa Abdullah Aminu, a 17-year-old student from Yobe State, for being named World’s Best in English Language Skills at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Finals in London, UK.

Representing Nigeria through the Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC), Nafisa triumphed over 20,000 participants from 69 countries, including native English-speaking nations. Her victory affirms President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for Education, which continues to empower Nigerian youth to compete globally.

The Ministers praised Nafisa’s brilliance, discipline, and determination, describing her feat as a proud national moment and validation of the Federal Government’s education reforms.

The Ministry appreciated Governor Mai Mala Buni for his education investments and acknowledged Yobe State Commissioner Dr. Abba Idris, NTIC staff, her parents, and teachers for shaping her journey.

Nafisa’s success reflects Nigeria’s global potential. The Ministry reaffirms its commitment to quality education and urges students nationwide to draw inspiration from her.
