Al-Ansar University Secures Council of Legal Education Approval to Launch LL.B Programme.


Al-Ansar University Maiduguri has recorded another historic achievement as the Council of Legal Education (CLE) has officially approved the commencement of its Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Degree Programme.
This approval comes after a successful Facilities Verification Exercise conducted by the Nigerian Law School Board of Studies, led by the Director-General, Prof. Isa Hayatu Chiroma, SAN, Life Bencher. The recommendation was formally adopted at the CLE’s quarterly meeting held on 28th October 2025, chaired by Chief Emeka Ngige, SAN, OFR, Life Bencher.
With this endorsement, AUM now joins the league of institutions certified fully compliant with the CLE’s rigorous standards for establishing a College of Law. The University has been granted an initial quota of 50 students at 100 Level, further solidifying its status as one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing private universities.
Founder and President of Al-Ansar Foundation, Dr. Mohammed Kyari Dikwa, mni, DSc, FCNA, FCTI, ACA, FNAE, described the development as a major victory for the Northeast and a testament to AUM’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, discipline, and nation-building.
He noted that the new LL.B programme will nurture ethical, competent, and justice-driven legal professionals who will contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s legal and socio-economic advancement.
