The attention of the Management of Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH) has been drawn to a photograph currently circulating on social media and other digital platforms, depicting the school gate allegedly engulfed in fire.

The Management hereby categorically states that the said photograph is NOT real and DID NOT originate from Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa.
The image is AI‑generated and does not represent any past or present incident within the Institute.

Members of the general public, students, parents, staff, alumni, and all stakeholders are therefore strongly advised to disregard the image and any accompanying misleading narratives as they are false, baseless, and intended to misinform the public and tarnish the image of the institution.

Furthermore, the Management wishes to warn individuals and platforms involved in the creation, publication, sharing, or further circulation of this fake image that such actions constitute the dissemination of false information and are capable of causing public panic and reputational damage.

Appropriate legal actions will be taken against anyone found culpable, in accordance with relevant laws guiding misinformation, cybercrime, and defamation in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

For verified and accurate information about Ogun State Institute of Technology, the public is advised to rely solely on the institution’s official communication channels.
