Chioma Okpara, a graduate of Babcock University, has celebrated earning a first-class degree in Economics after finishing with an impressive final GPA of 4.72. She also revealed that her result made her the student with the second-highest CGPA in her department.
The young graduate shared her graduation photos and academic achievement on social media, proudly announcing her success to her followers. She also described herself as a Licensed Economist and a TRCN Educationist, highlighting the professional credentials she obtained alongside her university degree.
Chioma expressed gratitude to God for helping her achieve the academic milestone. In her announcement, she revealed that she had officially become a first-class graduate and thanked God for the result she achieved after completing her studies at the university.
Her achievement was also celebrated by her family and close friends, who organised a private party in her honour. A video posted on her TikTok account showed Chioma being celebrated at the gathering, which featured a cake and different dishes prepared for the occasion.
The celebration attracted attention online, with many people congratulating Chioma and praising her academic performance. Her 4.72 GPA and second-place departmental ranking marked a significant accomplishment after years of studying Economics at Babcock University in Ilishan Remo, Ogun State.
Her achievement comes shortly after another Babcock University graduate, 19-year-old Daniel Eshiotienamhe Kadiri, was reported to have earned a first-class degree in Software Engineering with a 4.50 CGPA. Kadiri also reportedly completed his university education without failing any course, despite the academic challenges he faced.
