How to Calculate UNN Aggregate Score [UPDATED]

How University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) Aggregate Score is Obtained.

how to calculate unn aggregate score

The University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) admission screening method for the 2022/2023 session is online screening.

This implies that candidate’s aggregate score will now be based on the JAMB UTME Score and UNN Screening score.

This page will show you the procedure which will be used to calculate the UNN screening score and aggregate score.

The aggregate score is the final score that will be used for admission. Each department will release its cut-off mark (ie. their minimum aggregate score) and if you meet it, you will be offered admission.

FYI: Whenever you see a score stated as the cut-off mark for a course, you should know that they are referring to the aggregate score.

How to Calculate UNN Screening Score (Tentative)

Each grade has its point. Below is the breakdown of the points for each subject.

  • A1 — 100
  • B2 — 90
  • B3 – – 80
  • C4 — 70
  • C5 — 60
  • C6 — 50
  • D7 — 40
  • E8 — 30
  • F9 — 20

Your screening score is based on the O’level grades of the four UTME subjects you chose during JAMB UTME.

Now let’s assume that you want to study Civil Engineering, and your JAMB subject combination is:

  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • English

Let’s also assume you got:

  • B2 in Mathematics
  • B2 in Chemistry
  • C6 in Physics
  • C5 in English

Now to get your screening score, just add the O’level points for all four subjects.

Hence, your screening score will be: 90+90+50+60 = 290

Now that you know your UNN Screening score, let’s show you how to calculate the UNN aggregate score.

How to Calculate UNN Aggregate Score

  • Add your JAMB and screening score together
  • Divide the answer by 2
  • That’s your aggregate score. That’s the final score that will be used for admission consideration.

Practical calculations: If your JAMB Score is 298 and your UNN Screening score is 290. Your UNN Accregate Score will be (298 + 290) = 588/2 = 294

Another Question I will attend to is “My Aggregate Score is LOW, do I have hope?

UNN Departmental cutoff marks are not yet out so do not panic yet. Besides, The departmental cutoff mark for Enugu State is not same with that of Delta State. He scored high and you scored low might not matter if your state departmental cutoff mark is low.

Talking about the merit admission list, it involves school cutoff, catchment area cutoff, and state area cutoff.

Let me wish you a happy MATRICULATION in advance??
