Ahmadu Bello University, ABU Zaria Distance Learning Centre Issues Disclaimer on Fraudulent Study Centres.

The Management of the Distance Learning Centre, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (ABU DLC), has issued a formal disclaimer regarding the activities of unauthorized individuals and groups operating fraudulent offices across Nigeria.

These entities are reportedly falsely presenting themselves as accredited study centres of the ABU DLC. Management wishes to formally notify the general public that ABU DLC does not own, operate, or recognize any study centre anywhere in Nigeria, nor has it licensed any person or entity to establish such centres on its behalf.

To ensure the safety of students and prospective applicants, the public is strongly advised to adhere to the following directives:

  • Admission and Registration: Do not participate in any admission, screening, or registration exercise except at the main Centre in Zaria, designated Liaison Offices, or specific examination centres officially communicated by Management.
  • Financial Transactions: Avoid any discussions or transactions involving payments to third parties. Do not remit funds to any individual or entity purporting to act on behalf of ABU DLC.
  • Unauthorised Agreements: Do not enter into arrangements or agreements with any individual or group concerning examination or study centres under the ABU DLC name.
  • Student Support Services: The Centre has not authorized any entity to provide services such as the printing of course materials, assistance with assignments, or any other form of student support.

“Any person who engages in any of the above-mentioned activities does so entirely at their own risk.”

Management encourages everyone to remain vigilant. Any suspicious claims or activities should be reported immediately to the nearest ABU DLC Liaison Office or directly to the Centre in Zaria.
