Achievers University Expels 15 Female Students Over Sex Videos

Achievers University, Owo, expelled 15 female students for making sex videos as part of its strict zero-tolerance policy on indiscipline, with school authorities warning students and parents to uphold academic integrity and proper conduct.

Achievers University, Owo, Ondo State, has expelled at least 15 female students for making sex videos, an offence that contravenes the institution’s rules and regulations. The Pro-Chancellor, Prof. Bode Ayorinde, disclosed this at the university’s matriculation ceremony, urging students to avoid behaviour that could lead to the loss of their studentship.

Ayorinde emphasized that the university has zero tolerance for indiscipline, citing instances where students were expelled for threatening violence and dealing in hard drugs. He blamed some parents and guardians for indulging their children in wrongdoing, advising them to remind their wards to take their studies seriously.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Amos Aremu, said the university places a premium on quality assurance, discipline, and academic integrity. He advised matriculating students that university life is a journey of self-discovery, intellectual growth, and societal impact.

Aremu urged students to be prepared for rigorous lectures, demanding lifelines, sleepless nights of study, examination pressures, and the need to balance intellectual pursuits with personal development. He emphasized that these challenges are meant to refine students, build resilience, and develop critical thinking.

The university has been strict on discipline, expelling students for various offences, including fraudulent acts, fighting, and drinking alcohol. Ayorinde warned that any staff or student found sexually molesting anyone would also be sanctioned.

The expulsion of the 15 female students serves as a warning to others to adhere to the university’s rules and regulations.
