Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has raised the salaries of teaching and non-teaching staff at Osun State University (UNIOSUN) by 25% and 35%, respectively.
Speaking at the university’s 14th convocation in Osogbo, Adeleke praised the institution’s culture of avoiding strikes and protests, attributing its smooth operation to strong leadership.
He emphasized that his administration is committed to workers’ welfare, which prompted the salary increase.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Clement Adebooye, credited the university’s success to hard work, noting achievements like an expanded admission quota and a significant rise in student intake.
