Cursory: Nkechinyere Umeh, the top scorer in the 2023 UTME, has been granted a scholarship by the Anambra State Government to pursue any desired course at University.

The Anambra State Government has granted a scholarship to Miss Nkechinyere Umeh, a resident of the state who achieved the highest score in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), a compulsory college entrance exam for Nigerians.
According to a statement by the state Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, Umeh obtained a score of 360 in the examination.
Chuma-Udeh further stated that the government had awarded her a scholarship to pursue any course of her choice at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University.
Chuma-Udeh expressed confidence that the scholarship would serve as an encouragement for Umeh to excel further in her academic journey and also serve as a source of inspiration for other students in the state.
“Nkechinyere Umeh has been declared the best by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, having scored a cumulative mark of 360 in the 2023 UTME.
“This is a testament that efforts by Gov. Chukwuma Soludo’s administration to reposition the education sector are yielding the desired dividend.
“This scholarship will encourage and motivate her to do more in future and also serve as an example to other students in the state,” she said.
