Bandits have released five more students of Bethel Baptist School that were previously kidnapped, in Chikun Local Government of Kaduna state.
The President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Rev Israel Adelani Akanji, confirmed the release of the students on Friday night. Out of 121 students abducted from their school hostel on July 5, 2021, only four students are still in the kidnappers’ hideout.
He said
“Glory be to God. Five of our Bethel Baptist High School students and the Matron (Making 6) have just been released to us this evening, October 8.
“We thank God and trust that the remaining four students will also be released. Thank you for your prayers and support.”
