Onuorah Ebube Conrad overcame significant academic challenges and a school transfer to graduate with a First Class degree in Computer Science from Bowen University, earned a bronze medal at an international competition, and now advocates for perseverance and self-belief.

Onuorah Ebube Conrad, a Bowen University graduate in Computer Science, demonstrated resilience and academic excellence despite facing significant challenges, including a major school transfer in 2021 that required him to start anew.
Conrad’s journey to success was marked by his ability to adapt and persevere; he previously represented Nigeria at the Malaysian International Young Inventor’s Olympiad in 2017, where he won a bronze medal, and later achieved a First Class GPA by maintaining consecutive 5.0 results at Bowen University.
Reflecting on his journey, Conrad credits his success to identifying personal patterns that work for him and using past setbacks as motivation. After feeling isolated and struggling academically at his previous school, he took the opportunity of starting fresh to cultivate new habits, ensuring his efforts improved each semester.
With a passion for cybersecurity, Conrad envisions a future where he can empower others by creating supportive learning environments. His advice to others focuses on self-belief and persistence: “You are capable of anything. Run your own race, trust your patterns, and stay consistent in your efforts.”
