Brilliant Boy Beats 11,000 Contestants, Wins $100,000 Canada Scholarship

Don-Anele Marvelous Munachimso, a student of Diamond Special College, defeated over 11,500 contestants from five Eastern Nigerian states to win the South-East Mathematics Olympiad, earning a ₦5 million prize and a $100,000 scholarship to study in Canada, while his teacher also received ₦1 million for helping train him.

Don-Anele Marvelous Munachimso, a student of Diamond Special College, has emerged as the winner of the South-East Mathematics Olympiad after defeating more than 11,500 contestants from five states across Eastern Nigeria.

He competed in the Senior Category of the inaugural competition and stood out among thousands of participants due to his strong problem-solving ability and deep understanding of mathematics.

For his outstanding performance, Marvelous received a ₦5 million cash prize and a $100,000 scholarship to study in Canada.

His mathematics teacher, Anthony, was also rewarded with ₦1 million for his role in training and preparing the student for the competition through intensive practice sessions.

Before the competition, Marvelous reportedly underwent rigorous training with four teachers and fellow students, solving complex mathematical problems and learning advanced techniques.

His victory has earned him widespread recognition and gives him the opportunity to further develop his talent by pursuing higher education in Canada.
