brilliant Nigerian man, Oluwafemi Lawal Moses, has made headlines by becoming the overall best graduating student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, with a stellar 4.98/5.00 Grade Point Average.
Oluwafemi earned his degree from Obafemi Awolowo University with the highest GPA in the 2019/2020 academic session, securing the award for the best student of the university.
Speaking on his achievements, Oluwafemi described his success as historic, noting that throughout his four-year academic journey, he only received one B, with the rest of his grades being As.
“Two days ago, I graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) as the Best Graduating Student of the 2017/2018 session with a historic 4.98 CGPA out of 5.0, having had only one B grade in my four years of studying Accounting,” he stated.
Oluwafemi’s accomplishments extend beyond the valedictorian title; he also received seven other awards, including the Best Graduating Student in the Faculty of Administration and the Department of Management and Accounting. Additionally, he won awards for being the Best Student in Finance and Related Disciplines, and the Best Student in Taxation.
Oluwafemi has also excelled outside the university, emerging as the Overall Best Student four times in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) professional exams, accumulating a total of 14 awards in three years. Overall, he has received 22 awards in four years.
Expressing his gratitude, Oluwafemi thanked everyone who supported him throughout his academic journey and vowed to continue making his family and country proud. He hopes to someday have the opportunity to represent Nigeria on a larger scale.
