Young Nigerian Girl Receives Honoured by British Council for Her Highest Score In IGCSE

The British Council has recognized an outstanding Nigerian student, Adedigbe Michelle for achieving the highest score in Sociology at the 2023 International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) in Nigeria.

Every year, the British Council and Cambridge Assessment International Education host the British Council Recognition and Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award (BROCLA).

Legit.ng reports that this award celebrates and rewards the exceptional performance of Nigerian students in various Cambridge examinations conducted by the British Council.

Among the outstanding students recognized this year is Adedigba Michelle Temilola, who achieved the highest score in Sociology at the 2023 International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) in Nigeria.

Adedigba Michelle Temilola, a student at Caleb British International School, was honored for her exceptional performance in Sociology at the 2023 IGCSE.

The recognition was part of the 2024 British Council Recognition and Outstanding Cambridge Learners Awards (BROCLA), as confirmed by Abimbola Olulesi, the director of public relations for Caleb Group of Schools.

The award ceremony is scheduled for the first week of July at The Civic Center in Lagos, where other top performers from Nigeria and around the world will also be recognize.

Mrs. Omoluabi-Okechukwu, the principal of Caleb British International School, attributed Temilola’s success to a curriculum that blends the best of British and Nigerian education systems.

She emphasized the school’s commitment to excellence in academics, character, and moral training, and vowed to continue striving for superior performance in all areas.
