“I was the only black girl in my class” – Nigerian Nurse in Germany Takes Break to Share Her Experience

A Nigerian nurse working in Germany recently took a break from her busy schedule to share her story and insights into nursing through a video on her social media platform, @amara_ozor.

In the video, she discussed the cultural differences between her Nigerian heritage and her life in Germany.

She mentioned that many of her colleagues and patients preferred to call her by her English name, Patricia, which they found easier to pronounce than her Nigerian name, Amara.

She also talked about the stability and job security that nursing offers. Unlike some other professions where finding a job can be challenging, she highlighted how nursing has consistently provided her with opportunities, ensuring she never had to worry about unemployment.
