A 200-level DELSU Nursing student won a brand-new car during MTN Nigeria’s Live It 100 on Campus activation, expressing gratitude and dedicating the prize to her mother.

A 200-level Nursing Science student of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Joyce Obarakpor, has emerged as the winner of a brand-new car during MTN Nigeria’s “Live It 100 on Campus” activation programme held at the institution.
Obarakpor, who had hoped to win a prize before the event began, saw her dream come true after her name was announced during the grand raffle draw that concluded the three-day programme. The announcement was greeted with loud celebrations from thousands of students gathered at the university’s Campus 3.
Speaking after receiving the prize, the visibly excited student dedicated the victory to her mother, expressing gratitude for her sacrifices in ensuring that she and her siblings received an education. She also thanked MTN for the opportunity, saying the experience was beyond her expectations.
The campus activation, which took place from June 17 to 19, featured games, entertainment, talent displays, interactive sessions and several prize giveaways. The event attracted a large number of students who participated in the various activities throughout the three days.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, MTN Nigeria’s Senior Manager for Segment Marketing (Youth, Women and Teens), Temilolu Salako, explained that the initiative was designed to support and celebrate young Nigerians by providing opportunities for learning, networking, talent development and memorable campus experiences. He added that the programme would continue to reach more tertiary institutions across the country.
The university management praised the initiative, describing it as a positive contribution to student welfare. Representing the Vice Chancellor, the Dean of Students’ Affairs, Prof. Vincent Efebeh, said the programme gave students a chance to relax and interact outside their academic activities. The Students’ Union Government President, Comrade Kingsley Dumuje, also commended the event, noting that it successfully combined entertainment, student engagement and rewarding opportunities.
