Ebuka Peter Ezugwu has sent a thank you message to Nigeria for giving him a cheap and quality education and set to pursue his doctorate degree in the United States of America.

Ebuka who is pursuing a doctoral program in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Minnesota, USA, said he has Nigeria to thank for it.
According to him, it’s because of the cheap and quality education he received in Nigeria that he is able to continue abroad.
Sharing his win on Twitter, he wrote: “Thank you #Nigeria for providing me a quality education at a subsidized fee. That foundation is what has thrust me to begin my doctoral program in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Minnesota college of science and engineering. We shall progress.”
While some Nigerians on Twitter agreed with him, others said the quality remains poor. See some of the comments below;
@hemmayyyy: “This is it, i keep saying this! Nigeria’s education system is cheap at university level compare to the west! But the only difference is, you can still afford it in the west, but In Nigeria, poverty won’t let its citizens afford common basic needs, talk more of a cheap uni.”
@OwolabiKolawole: “You lied. We pay per annum and not per semester. Yes, we buy handouts and do projects and all. Our tuition fee is still subsidised. We are also entitled to state bursary no matter how small. We also get scholarships like agbami, total, abdulkabir etc which is really assistin”
@iyaboawokoya: “God will project you and promote you even more son. Thank you for making us proud. The sky will not even limit your achievement-You will continue to excel IJN. Amen.”
@MOAbdurrazaq: “You shall succeed in your program and go on to become a force to reckon with in your career. The God of Nigeria shall always be with you, protect you and make all your dreams become reality. You’re blessed already.”
