Federal University, Dutse FUD notice Mid-Semester Break for First Semester.


The management of the Federal University Dutse (FUD), Jigawa State, has officially announced a one-week mid-semester break for staff and students of the institution in celebration of the forthcoming Eid-el-Fitr (Sallah) festivities.
According to a circular released by the Office of the Registrar through the Directorate of Academic Affairs on March 17, 2026, the approved break will commence from Monday, March 23, 2026 and end on Sunday, March 29, 2026
The circular further stated that all academic activities for the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic session will resume immediately after the break on Monday, March 30, 2026.

Important Notice to Students
The University management clarified that the mid-semester break only affects students’ academic activities. Other university operations and essential services may continue as scheduled.
Official Statement
The circular was signed by the Registrar and Secretary to the Senate, Abubakar Mijinyawa, who urged all members of the university community to comply with the directive.
Distribution of the Circular
Copies of the circular were forwarded to the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellors (Academic and Administration), Bursar, University Librarian, Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments and Units, Chief Security Officer, the Students’ Union Government (SUG) President, and notice boards across the university.
Conclusion
The University management wishes all Muslim faithful and the entire university community a peaceful and joyful Eid-el-Fitr celebration in advance and encourages everyone to return safely to campus after the break.
