FUPRE Pre-degree Form for the 2025/2026 Academic Session has been released. The closing date is on Sunday, 31st August 2025.. The Application Fee is N10,000. Candidates awaiting their results can apply. No JAMB is required!


This is to inform all students who failed or didn’t write 2025 UTME but still wants to study in the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE), that the school has two programmes that can still make you gain admission into the institution. The programmes are Pre-Degree and JUPEB.

Entrance Examinations: A entrance examination for admission into the Programme will hold on Thursday, 4th September 2025 by 9:00 am at the FUPRE ICT building.

About FUPRE Basic Studies (Pre-degree) Programme.
Arising from the vision of making the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, Delta State a top-rate University with the ability to attract the brightest students, the University commenced its Basic Studies (Pre-Degree) programme in August, 2015 for prospective candidates for science and engineering disciplines.
The aim of the programme is to:
- Improve prospective students’ performance in the WASC/NECO/GCE and equivalent examinations in order to enhance and to meet the admission requirements in Science and Engineering programmes.
- Prepare candidates adequately for UTME examination in order to enhance their admission chances to these programmes.
- Improve the quality of candidates seeking admission to 100 level of FUPRE programmes and of other Universities.
The programme is an intensive nine (9) months teaching and coaching lessons in the following areas:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Geography
Admission to FUPRE 100 Level disciplines will be based on the average of final Basic Studies Examination and Jamb Scores.
PREDEGREE/BASIC PROGRAMME
The basic Programme shall run for one Academic Session beginning from September 2025 to August, 2026. It is an intensive programme to prepare candidates for admission through JAMB into the 100-level degree programmes offered by the University.
Candidates Eligible to Apply for FUPRE Pre-Degree Form
- Candidates awaiting their WAEC or NECO results can also apply.
- Candidate must possess a minimum of 5 credit passes including English Languages and Mathematics in not more than two (2) examination Sittings.
Duration of Programme.
The duration of the programme is one academic session of two (2) semesters. It is strictly a non-residential programme.
How to Apply for FUPRE Pre-Degree Form
Application Fee for Foundation Programme is Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000) only.
Follow the procedure below to apply:
- To begin any payment, Enter your Full Name, Email and Phone Number,
- The Session, Type of Application, Amount and Processing Charge are already active
- Select the Payment Type and
- Click Proceed Button
- NOTE: If your payment type is Card that means you want to make payment using your Master Card, VISA or Verve Card.
However, if you select Bank it means you want to go to the bank to make payment as such print the Payment Invoice and proceed to the any bank to pay using the RRR Number on the invoice. - Carefully fill all the required fields, submit and print out your confirmation page.
