Federal University of Technology Minna, FUTMINNA NERD Clearance for prospective 2026 Corps Members.

The Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna, has announced a new compulsory requirement for all graduating students and prospective National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members, following a directive from the Federal Executive Council (FEC).
According to an official circular issued by the university, graduates seeking mobilization for the NYSC scheme must now obtain clearance from the Nigeria Education Repository and Databank (NERD). The policy takes effect from the 2026 NYSC Batch “A” onward, and only graduates with valid NERD clearance slips will be processed for mobilization.
The university explained that the policy aligns with a federal initiative aimed at centralizing academic records and improving data integrity within Nigeria’s education system.
Procedure for Clearance
Graduating students are required to visit the NERD onboarding portal via https://ned.gov.ng/onboarding or https://estmat.ned.gov.ng/ai/enrot-v2.php to begin the process. Applicants must complete a preliminary upload of their thesis or project work.
To successfully complete the clearance, students are expected to have the following documents ready:
- A functional email address
- Soft copy of thesis or project
- Certificate, Statement of Result, or Letter of Attestation
- Passport photograph
- National Identification Number (NIN) slip
The university further stated that when an attestation letter is requested, students should upload their certificate or statement of result. All submitted details will be verified before candidates receive a link to upload their thesis or project. Upon completion, graduates will be issued a NERD clearance slip.
The notice was signed by Abubakar Aliyu, Deputy Registrar, Students’ Affairs, and Focal Officer for NERD at FUT Minna. Students are advised to comply promptly to avoid delays in their NYSC mobilization process.
