FUTO Acceptance Fee Payment Procedure for 2019/2020 Academic Session

This is to inform the general public especially candidates who were admitted in Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) for 2019/2020 Session that the school management has released the acceptance fee payment procedure.

FUTO Acceptance Fee Payment Procedure

There are three stages, first you should confirm your admission status, secondly you have to verify your account on FUTO Student portal. Then finally you should access your account, generate invoice and make payment!

Now let’s explain in details

STEP 1: CHECK ADMISSION STATUS

• Login to futo.edu.ng
• Click on the link “Portal”
• Click on “New Students”
• Select “Check admission status”
• Enter your JAMB Registration number to view your admission notification slip
• Update O’ level verification details by clicking on the green link
• Enter your O’ level details as required and submit

STEP 2: ACCOUNT VERIFICATION

• Proceed to sign up and verify your portal account
• Select the required fields and enter a functional email address
• Submit your details. An email will be sent to your functional email address.
• Click on the link sent to your email to activate your account
• Copy your Username and Password and login into your portal account

STEP 3: PORTAL ACCOUNT

• In your portal account, change your password
• Complete your profile
• Generate an acceptance invoice
• Proceed to any bank for payment or alternatively, pay online with your ATM card
• Return to the portal for acceptance receipt
• Print admission letter and other particulars
• Generate school fee invoice
• Proceed to any bank for payment or alternatively, pay online with your ATM card
• Return to the portal for school fee receipt

The procedure below won’t be necessary for now…, so you can just go through them for “knowledge sake” or skip.

How to Pay FUTO School Fees

• Login to the portal with your username and password
• Click on “Pay Fees” to generate your payment invoice
• Print your invoice and proceed to any bank for payment.
• Alternatively, you can make payment using the online payment options with credit/debit cards such as Verve, Visa, MasterCards.
• After successful payment in bank, return to the portal portal.futo.edu.ng and login with your account details to print FUTO school fees e-receipt with the RRR code on the invoice.

How to Complete FUTO School Fees After Payment

• Click the “Pay Fees” menu
• Select the required payment details
• Print the School Fees Receipt
• Portal automatically assigns matriculation number.

How to Fill FUTO Profile Details Online

• Click on fill profile details.
• Enter the required information on the field.
• Ensure your entry level is entered accurately (Year of admission)
• Click on submit button to complete your profile details.
• Print the profile information slip.
• Complete and print the validity form and acceptance letter.

How to Confirm FUTO Admission and Collect Green File

(VENUE WILL BE SOSC EXTENSION BUILDING NEAR THE OLD SEET ROUNDABOUT).

• University Admission Officer uses the verified results/Certificates to authenticate the Admission Letter or assigns the candidate to another department as the case may be.
• Below are the required documents for the confirmation of admission / Collection for Green file.
  1. JAMB Original Result Slip printed directly from JAMB’s portal
  2. JAMB Original Admission Letter.
  3. FUTO PUTME Result Slip
  4. O’ Level Statement of Results
  5. Confirmation of Admission form printed from FUTO portal
  6. FUTO Admission Letter
  7. School Fees Receipt
  8. Candidate’s Profile Slip, Validity Form with passport and Signed Acceptance Letter (all printed from FUTO portal)
  9. Birth Certificate
  10. LGA Identification Letter
  11. Direct Entry Credentials – A’ Level certificate, OND/HND/Degree statements of results (for Direct Entry candidates only)

6. Completion of forms in the Green files and Submission of the Files to the Departments for further necessary actions.
7. Other clearance

• Registration at the Health Services and University Library.

(Note that the completion of registration in the Health Services and the University Library will be a requirement for the issuance of the e-ID card)

NOTE:

1. All admitted Direct Entry Students are required to inform their institution to forward their Academic Transcript to the Registrar, Federal University of Technology, Owerri. P.M.B. 1526
2. After matriculation , the student proceeds to the admissions unit of the registry to sign the Matricula within one(1)week
3. This Matricula from the admissions unit will serve as the input for the issuance of e-ID cards to Freshmen

How to do FUTO Online Course Registration

• Click the course registration menu and select the Register Courses
• Select the session and semester and click the submit
• Select your courses for that semester and click the submit button,
• Print the registered courses

How to Check FUTO Semester Result Online

• Click the Result menu and select the view result
• Select the semester and session and click the submit button
• Print the online semester result slip.

REMARKS FOR NEW STUDENTS

• Students are once more reminded that payment of school fees is compulsory and this payment will give students access to:

1. Obtaining Matriculation Number automatically
2. Online course Registration
3. Semester Examination
4. Campus WiFi.
