Ghanaian student Qwasi Sunday, who once sold sachet water and worked as a waiter to fund his education, is now nearing his dream of becoming a nurse while also aspiring to pursue a career in modeling.

A resilient young man from Ghana, Qwasi Sunday, has overcome significant financial hardships to pursue his dream of becoming a nurse. Despite facing the constant threat of dropping out due to a lack of funds, Sunday refused to give up and worked tirelessly to keep his education going.
As a student of the Seventh Day Adventist Nurses Training College in Kumasi, Sunday took on multiple jobs to pay his tuition fees. He spent his days selling sachet water in traffic and later worked as a waiter at a restaurant. Although the work was physically demanding, his passion for healthcare fueled his determination to continue.
For years, Sunday juggled school and work, committed to saving enough to fund his education. His journey, which he shared in a viral TikTok video, highlighted the power of persistence. Reflecting on his struggles, he quoted, “First, it was fragrance, then it turned to fire, my worship is my weapon, this is how I win my battle,” expressing how his faith kept him going through difficult times.
Now in his penultimate year at the nursing college, Sunday is closer than ever to achieving his lifelong goal of becoming a professional nurse. His remarkable story serves as an inspiration to many who face similar financial barriers in the pursuit of education.
Looking ahead, Sunday is not only focused on his future in healthcare but also dreams of building a successful career in modeling. With his unwavering dedication and hard work, he is determined to turn both ambitions into reality.
