From Setback to Success: Her Journey
Initially aspiring to study medicine, Boluwatife’s academic journey took a sharp detour in 2022 when she encountered a major setback that led to an unplanned gap year — a period she described as silent, painful, and filled with self-doubt.
“I took a gap year I didn’t plan for… that year forced a painful question: Who are you without the one thing you thought defined you?” — Boluwatife shared on LinkedIn.
In that uncertain season, she discovered tech — not with confidence, but curiosity — and what began as a confusing exploration turned into a life-changing passion.
Learning Tech from Scratch
Starting from ground zero, she immersed herself in the basics: watching online tutorials, debugging broken code, and trying to make sense of dense documentation. Though often overwhelmed, she persisted.
“At first, I was more confused than capable. But slowly, it started to click. I found my footing — and eventually, I found myself again.”
Her persistence turned into proficiency, and eventually, excellence.
