Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Yahaya has mourned the death of rising Nigerian diplomat Zipporah Kela—daughter of Professor S. L. Kela—praising her service in foreign missions and the Presidential Villa, and offering prayers and condolences to her family and colleagues.


Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Yahaya has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Zipporah Kela, daughter of Professor S. L. Kela, Deputy Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Kashere.
Until her passing, Zipporah served with distinction in the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was on special assignment at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The governor described her as a rising star in Nigeria’s foreign service and a proud ambassador of Gombe State.
A native of Tanglang in Billiri Local Government Area, Zipporah had served in Nigerian embassies in The Gambia and Argentina, where she earned recognition for her professionalism and dedication to Nigeria’s diplomatic mission.
Governor Yahaya offered heartfelt condolences to her father, her colleagues at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Presidency, and prayed for God to grant her eternal rest and give her family strength in this difficult time.
