The Kaduna State Government has relocated the National Youth Service (NYSC) Camp with about 2,300 corps members from Sabon Gayan village along Kaduna-Abuja highway to the state metropolis.

It was gathered Friday that the NYSC now uses Government College Kaduna located at Kurmin Mashi – a community of Kaduna South Local Government Area of the State, as a temporary camp.
The reason for the relocation was not made available by the state government but Daily Trust gathered from a community leader in one of the villages around the former camp, who craved anonymity, that insecurity was part of the reasons for the relocation.
But the state’s NYSC coordinator Isah Wana in an interview with newsmen ruled out insecurity as a reason for the camp’s relocation, saying the government ordered the relocation because the camp is under renovation.
