Anosike Hyacinth, a 27-year-old Philosophy graduate from Imo State University (IMSU), has shared his inspiring story of overcoming adversity to achieve academic success. He graduated with a first-class honour, achieving a CGPA of 4.59 in the 2022/23 academic session.
Anosike’s journey was not without challenges. He revealed that there was a time he cried in silence due to the pressure of having no parents to sponsor his education. However, he didn’t give up. He emphasized the importance of consistency, curiosity, and collaboration in achieving academic success.
He formed a study group called ‘Academia’, a collective of focused and intelligent students who supported each other in their academic pursuits. Anosike’s study routine involved studying from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., when it was quiet, and he could focus on his work.
Anosike’s secrets to success include:
