- UNILORIN Diploma in Accounting and Data Processing with Upper Credit pass.
- HND with a minimum of Lower Credit pass.
- ND in Accountancy with Upper Credit or ND with Lower Credit with ICAN (ATS)
- ICAN (ACA).
- For Business Administration accepts ND upper credit in Business Studies/Business Management.
- For Finance requires‘A’ Level passes not less than grade ‘C’ including Accounting and one(1) of Mathematics, Business Management, Economics, Statistics, Geography and Government, at least twelve (12) Points. In addition to the IJMB/’A’ Level, candidates should have credit passes in three (3) UTME subjects as per ‘O’ Level requirements other than the ones obtained at IJMB/’A’ Level.

Candidates must have completed from a recognised institution with a minimum of lower credit in any of the following programmes of studies: Business Administration, Accounting, Accounting/Auditing, Banking, Finance, Marketing, Purchasing and Supply, Actuarial Science/Insurance, Secretarial Administration, Office Management, Psychology, Public Business Studies, Administration, Catering and Hotel Management and Statistics, Financial Studies.
- ii. In addition, HND candidates must have a minimum of five (5) credit passes in ‘O’ Level subjects as inUTME requirements.

a. For Accounting:
(i). CALABAR DBA, ND upper credit in relevant programmes; HND lower credit in relevant programme
(ii). does not accept IJMB or ‘A’ Level paper or NCE for Direct Entry. - b. For Marketing:
(i) Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Economics or Mathematics, Government and Geography. ND in Business Administration.
(ii) Does not accept IJMB and NCE - For Business Management:
(i) ND credit in any Management programme including Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Management, Marketing and Computer science.
(ii) ‘A’ Level passes in any three (3) of Accounting, Business Management, Economic and Mathematics plus ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Commerce or Economics. - BENIN (UNIBEN) accepts
a. For Insurance and Actuarial Science:
Applicant should possess five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes or equivalent, two (2) of which shall be at the ‘A’ Level or ‘O’ Level credit passes at least three (3) of which shall be at the ‘A’ Level provided that subjects are not counted at both levels of the examination. Credit passes at the ‘O’ Level must include English Language and Mathematics.
ii. ND upper credit in relevant programme in addition to five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes.
iii. HND lower credit in relevant programmes in addition to five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes.
iii. Final Certificate of relevant Professional Bodies in addition to five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes.
b. For Marketing:
i. UTME requirements plus two (2) subjects passed at the ‘A’ Level, one(1) of which should be Accounting and the other either Economics or Business Management.
ii. In Exceptional cases the following qualifications may also be considered:
a. UTME requirements plus a complete pass in the intermediate examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria or of any other equivalent Professional Accounting bodies or
b. UTME requirements plus passes in all parts of the Associateship Examination of the Institute of Bankers. or
c. UTME requirements plus ND upper credit in Marketing or any relevant subject from a recognised Polytechnic or College of Technology.
d. UTME requirements plus HND in any relevant programme awarded by a recognised Polytechnic or College of Technology.
e. UTME requirements plus a bachelor’s degree in any programme awarded by a recognised University. - ABU accepts Two ‘A’ Level / IJMB passes in Management/Social Science Subjects one of which must be Economics. A Minimum Merit in ABU Diploma in Insurance, Management, Banking or Accounting, Computer Science and Mathematics Education.
- CALABAR (UNICAL) accepts five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes, including English Language and Government, a pass in Mathematics, plus two (2) ‘A’ Level subjects in the Social Sciences with a minimum of C.
- KWASU accepts
a. For Accounting IJMB, Cambridge ONLY, ND upper credit in Accounting, HND Accounting (Lower Credit)
b. For Business Administration IJMB, Cambridge ONLY, ND upper credit in Business Administration, HND lower credit in Business Administration. - PAUL accepts two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Government and Geography.
- BELLS accepts two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in any two (2) of Chemistry, Economics, Geography and Mathematics.
- EBSU accepts for Public Administration candidates with NCE, ND or HND, the candidates are expected to possess the relevant UTME requirements
- CRAWFORD accepts
a. For Marketing:
i. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Economics or anyone of Business Management, Geography, Accounting Government, Mathematics or Statistics.
ii. NCE – With passes in Accounting, Business Studies or any Social Science
iii. ND/HND in relevant subjects not lower than Lower Credit.
b. For Accountancy:
i. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes including Economics plus anyone of Accounting, Government, Commerce, and Business Management.
ii. NCE pass in Accounting, Business Studies or any Social Science

c. For Business Administration:

iii. ND lower credit in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration. Intermediate passes in ICAN, ACCA, ICMA and CIBN examinations.
b. For Business Administration:
i. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Economics and one other Social Science subject.
ii. ND in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Marketing or Insurance, NCE in Business Studies. - AUE:
a. For Accounting accepts ‘A’ Level passes in Economics or Business Management and one other subject, or ND/NCE upper credit in Accounting, Business Management Studies from an approved Polytechnics, College of Technology or College of Education.
b. For Business Administration accepts ‘A’ Level passes in Economics or Business Management and one other subject or ND upper credit in Business Administration from recognised Polytechnics. - SALEM requires ‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics and any other relevant subjects.
- DELSU accepts
a) GCE ‘A’ Level or HSC passes in Accounting or Economics and at least one other subject.
b) ND obtained from approved polytechnics or colleges of technology in Accounting with a grade not lower than Upper Credit.
c) Foundation/Intermediate Exam. Passes of recognized professional bodies as ICAN, ACCA, ICMA, ANAN, ACIB, provided the candidates have credits at WAEC, SSCE or GCE O/L in five subjects to include English Language, Mathematics and Economics.
For Business Administration, DELSU requires
a) National Diploma with a minimum of Upper Credit in a relevant discipline obtained from an approved and reputable institutions of Higher Learning. Essentially, OND in Comprehensive Business Administration would be given preferences.
b) GCE A/L or HSC in at least two subjects of which one must either be Mathematics or Economics. - RHEMA accepts ND/HND in Accounting plus the UTME requirements.
- GOUU accepts
a) For Accounting, B.Sc., BA or HND in other programmes, ND upper credit in Accounting, Foundation of ICAN.
b) For Business Administration, two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Economics and any one of Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Accounting, Business Management, History and Government. BSc, BA or HND in other programmes, ND upper credit in Business Administration.
c) For Marketing, two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Economics and any one of Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Accounting, Business Management, History and Government.
BSc, BA or HND in other programmes, ND upper credit in Marketing.
d. For Public Administration: BA, BSc or HND in other programmes, ND upper credit in Public or Business Administration. - UMYUK requires a minimum of nine (9) points in IJMB/HSC/GCE ‘A’ Level/NCE in Economics, Mathematics and any of Social and Management Science subjects. Candidates with ND lower credit in relevant programmes from recognised institutions may also be admitted.
For Public Administration, UMYUK accepts a minimum of 9 points in IJMB/HSC/GCE ‘A’ Level/NCE in relevant subjects. Candidates with a minimum of lower credit pass in National Diploma/HND in Public Administration or its equivalent in Management Science subjects from recognized institutions may also be admitted. - RENAISSANCE accepts ND credit from a recognised institution in related programmes like Accountancy, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Marketing plus the UTME requirements.
- CALEB:
a. For Business Administration accepts ND credit level in Business Administration, Secretarial Studies or Social Sciences related studies may be considered for admission by Direct Entry provided they have the UTME requirements at one sitting.
b. For Accounting accepts ND credit in Accounting, Banking, Financial Studies or Social Sciences, related studies may be considered for admission by direct entry provided they have the UTME requirements at one sitting. - NDU requires
i. Candidates must possess two (2) ‘A’ Level passes which must include Economics or:

e) International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) in relevant subjects. - MOUNTAIN TOP – For Business Administration, a candidate is expected to meet the minimum entry requirements into the University as well as possess in Economics and Business Management at the ‘A’ Level/JUPEB obtained from MTUor any other recognized Universities or possession of a minimum of Lower Credit in National Diploma or its equivalent in Business Studies. Candidates must also pass the screening interview conducted by the University.
For Accounting;
a) In addition to ‘O’ Level requirements, candidates must possess three (3) ‘A’ Level passes in the relevant commercial courses acceptable to the University or Foundation/JUPEB obtained from Mountain Top University or other recognized Universities.
b) Possess OND Lower Credit in relevant courses including Accounting, Finance, Insurance, Banking and other Financial Studies courses.
c) Possess National Certificate of Education, Merit in relevant courses including Accounting, Finance, Insurance, Banking and other Financial Studies courses.
d) Possess Final level pass of ICAN-ATS and Foundation pass of recognized professional bodies such as ICAN, ACCA (London), CIMA (UK), CIBN, CITN and others who are members of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).

Initially, i chose finance as my course because with the subject combination of eng, maths, economics and commerce then i did change of course from finance to insurance but it didn’t reflect by the time i registered for post utme…hope there won’t be any problem…will it reflect later…hope i won’t be denied of admission….and someone told me that i could do unilag change of course…please I need reply ASAP
