He was stripped down to his boxers before the school security intervened, preventing further embarrassment.

According to reports, the lecturer confessed during interrogation, implicating his colleagues, including the Head of the Department, alleging they provided names of female students for preferential treatment based on personal relationships.

In response, the university’s spokesperson, Daniel Iyke, confirmed the incident, stating that the management initiated an investigation promptly.

Iyke assured that the university has internal procedures to address such matters, emphasizing the Vice-Chancellor’s commitment to transparency in handling the case.

Iyke said;

“The thing is that the university has its own internal mechanism in taking care of it.

“The report has been brought to the attention of the vice-chancellor, and he has set up a body to look into it. This was done immediately and the report or outcome will be made known as soon as it comes out. At this point, this is all I can volunteer.”
