KWASU has Appointed Prof. Abdul Kabir Hussain Solihu as Director of Centre for Research and Development


Professor Solihu is a specialist in Islamic Thought, Comparative Religion, Religion and Ecology, Environmental Ethics, Qur’anic Studies, and Computational Linguistics.
He studied at Al-Azhar University, Cairo, and the International Islamic University, Malaysia (IIUM) and has authored and co-authored several publications, and has one commercialised product to his credit, ROTAS Transliteration Kit.
Before joining Kwara State University, Professor Solihu was with the Faculty of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences at IIUM from 2003 to 2016 where he was the editor of Web of Science and Scopus-indexed journal, _Intellectual Discourse_ .
He joined Kwara State University in 2016 as a full professor and served as Director of Kwara State University Press, Provost of the College of Humanities, Management and Social Sciences, and then the pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Arts.
