A lecturer at Abia State University, Uturu, has announced the date for his upcoming wedding to a former female student.
The lecturer, identified as Mr. Anucha from the Department of Sociology, proposed to the student in a classroom setting, a move that drew criticism from Nigerians across various platforms.
However, undeterred by the controversy, Mr. Anucha took to his Facebook page to share the exciting news of their impending nuptials. In a post made on Friday, he revealed that their church wedding is scheduled for April 6th.
“With the consent of our parents, we, Grace and Wisdom, with every sense of humility, respect, and responsibility, most humbly wish to invite you as a special guest as ‘we’ walk down the aisle,” the lecturer wrote in his announcement.
Accompanying the announcement was a heartwarming pre-wedding photograph of Mr. Anucha and his fiancée, shared with their friends and well-wishers on social media.
“We covet your prayers as we embark on this journey for life,” he added, extending an invitation to join them at Saint Paul’s Anglican Church in Aba, the bustling commercial hub of Abia State.
While the news of their impending union continues to stir conversations, Mr. Anucha and his fiancée are preparing to embark on a new chapter together, supported by the blessings and well-wishes of their loved ones.
