Lens University has secured NUC Approval for Law, Pharmacy, 10 other Programmes.


Following the resource inspection by the National Universities Commission team on Saturday May 9 2026, the NUC has approved all the additional twelve (12) academic programmes for Lens University Ilemona.
This was contained in a letter of approval dated 16th June 2026 and signed by the Director of Academic Planning of NUC, Abubakar M. Girei.
The letter reads in part, ” I am directed to inform the Vice Chancellor that the executive Secretary has considered and approved the establishment of the full time mode of the following programmes to be run in the Main Campus of the University with effect from the 2026/2027 academic session.
Reacting to the approval, the Proprietors applauded the Federal Government for expanding the University education in Nigeria through the National Universities Commission. The Proprietors added that Lens University will continue to uphold the University mandate to further contribute to the national growth and development.
The newly approved academic programmes include:
- L.L.B. Law
- L.L.B Common and Islamic Law
- Doctor of Pharmacy ( Pharm.D.)
- Doctor of Optometry
- Doctor of Physiotherapy ( D.PT)
- B.CHS. Community Health Science
- B.Rad. Radiology
- B.Eng. Computer Engineering
- B.Eng. Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- B.sc. Software Engineering
- B.sc. Marketing
- B.sc. Economics
- B.sc. Finance
