Makurdi College of Nursing Sciences (MAKCONS) Benue State General Nursing Admission Form 2024/2025 is still on Sale. The closing date has been extended till Friday, 23rd of August 2024.

Admission form into the Benue State College of Nursing Sciences, Makurdi will be on sale from Monday, 27th May, 2024 to end on the Friday, 23rd of August 2024.. Each form costs Twenty Thousand Naira (N20,000) only. Only candidates with Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry in WAEC, NECO or NABTEB at not more than two (2) sittings are advised to purchase the forms. Candidates MUST be eighteen (18) years and above.

LATEST UPDATE: Makurdi College Of Nursing Sciences Extends Deadline For Sales of Admission Forms For 2024/2025 Academic Session

This is to inform the general public especially prospective students that the Makurdi College of Nursing Sciences sales of admission forms for the 2024/2025 academic session has been extended to Friday, 23rd of August 2024.

Candidates are advised to indicate on their forms the course of their choice (General Nursing or Basic Midwifery). The forms will be available in the office of the Director of Nursing Services, State Ministry of Health, Makurdi. All candidates are requested to bring along with them photocopies of their credentials and two (2) recent Passport sized photographs.

The General Nursing programme is for a period of three years which at the end, the candidates shall be presented for both the College and Nursing & Midwifery Council of Nigeria Professional Qualifying Examinations to be registered and licensed as General Nurses while the remedial programme is for a period of one (1) year which will prepare prospective candidates for admission into the College at the end of the one (1) year programme.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR GENERAL NURSING:

• Applicants MUST not be less than 16 years at the time of application
• MUST possess the Senior Secondary School Certificate (WASSCE/NECO) or GCE O’ Level or equivalent with at least 5 credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at not more than two (2) sittings of the same examination body OR NABTEB at not more than one (1) sitting.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR REMEDIAL SCIENCES:

• Applicants MUST not be less than 16 years at the time of application
• Applicants MUST possess at least two (2) passes at credit level including English Language and Mathematics to qualify for admission.

How To Apply For Makurdi College Of Nursing Admission Form

Applicants are to visit the College website at www.makcons.com to complete their application or visit the College; Makurdi College of Nursing Sciences, Opposite Benue State University, Makurdi (Old Symbols Plaza).

METHOD OF SELECTION:

General Nursing applicants will be subjected to a Computer Based Test (CBT) which will be conducted at the College’s CBT Centre.Only candidates who attain acceptable standard shall be invited for screening.

Note:

• There will be no Computer-Based Test (CBT) examinations for Remedial applicants.
• Those who are qualified will be issued admission letter.

SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES

• Sale of Forms – Monday, 27th May, 2024 to Friday, 23rd of August 2024.
• Entry Examination – The date for Aptitude Test/ Screening is scheduled to hold from Wednesday, 28th – Thursday, 29th August, 2024.
