A man revealed he broke up with his girlfriend due to her low CGPA of 1.2 and lack of effort to improve, sparking mixed reactions online.

A man has opened up about ending his relationship with his girlfriend after discovering she had a low CGPA of 1.2.
Identified as @adeolaowosho on X (formerly Twitter), he shared his story in response to a post about another man who broke up with a woman for similar reasons.
In his tweet, @adeolaowosho explained that he couldn’t continue the relationship because his girlfriend showed no effort to improve her grades, which ultimately led to the breakup.
He wrote:
“I once broke up with someone because she was failing miserably in school. How can you be on a 1.5 CGPA? Can’t be my babe, please. I deserve better. 🙏🏽
She wasn’t making any genuine effort to improve her grades. I’m forgiving of failure, but the deal breaker is your attitude towards it. You have to at least be trying to improve your chances of success.”
His tweet sparked reactions from other users:
- @toniaa__x commented: “Lmfaooo this is valid please 😭”
- @MA_Muhammadd asked, “You go manage 2.0?”
- @HEssentia replied, “Wahala for those who don’t know book 😭”
- @iamvinicius_snr said: “Valid tbh, imagine your kids inherit her brain.”
The post quickly gained attention, with many agreeing with his decision.
