A man revealed that after he told his younger brother his success in private school was due to weak competition, the boy switched to a public school to prove himself and went on to consistently rank first from secondary school to university with a perfect GPA.

A man has shared how a simple comment he made to his younger brother unexpectedly sparked an extraordinary journey of academic excellence.
According to him, he once told his brother—who was already very intelligent—that he only came first in class because private schools had weaker competition. Taking the remark seriously, the younger brother decided to transfer to a public school to prove himself, even against their father’s advice.
From that moment, he consistently excelled despite facing tougher competition and much larger class sizes. In a public school with over 200 students, he still finished in first place. This pattern continued through secondary school, where he repeatedly ranked first and even became senior prefect at both junior and senior levels.
Now in his third year at university, he reportedly maintains a perfect 5.0 GPA and remains at the top of his class, never dropping to second place. Interestingly, his brother noted that despite his outstanding academic record, he still finds time to play and relax.
Reflecting on the outcome, the man humorously admitted that his comment unintentionally pushed his brother to become exceptionally driven, saying he “created a monster” with his words.
