McPherson University has appointed Dr Falade Adesola as the new Acting Dean, College of Computing

The Management of McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo, Ogun State, has appointed Dr Falade Adesola as the Acting Dean of the College of Computing. A distinguished Computer Scientist, Software Engineer and Academic Leader, Dr. Falade brings over 25 years of combined experience spanning higher education, software development, systems analysis, ICT consulting and Artificial Intelligence (AI) research. His appointment reflects the University’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation and visionary leadership.

Dr. Falade holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours), Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science, with research specialisations in Software Engineering, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Predictive Analytics and Violent Crime Prediction. He also holds IBM professional certifications in Mobile Application Development, Predictive Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, underscoring his expertise in emerging technologies and digital innovation.

Prior to his appointment, Dr. Falade served in several academic and administrative leadership positions, including Programming School Coordinator at Covenant University, and Acting Head of Department at Trinity University, Yaba, Lagos. Throughout his career, he has distinguished himself in curriculum development, academic administration, postgraduate supervision, research mentorship and the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Software Engineering, Programming, Database Systems, Computer Networking, Distributed Systems and Advanced Internet Technologies.

Beyond academia, Dr. Falade has built an impressive career in the ICT industry, with extensive experience in software development, systems analysis, web application development, data analytics and project management. He has successfully led the design and implementation of enterprise software solutions, student management systems, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms, e-government solutions and institutional web applications across both the public and private sectors.

A prolific researcher, Dr Falade has authored more than 35 peer-reviewed publications, with over 25 indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. He is a registered member of the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN), a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a technical reviewer and an experienced postgraduate supervisor. His research interests include Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, the Internet of Things (IoT) and Predictive Analytics. He is widely recognised for combining academic excellence with practical industry expertise to drive innovation, digital transformation and impactful research in computing and information technology.
