Miss Faith Chidinma Igbonekwu of the Department of English and Communication Art, Faculty of Humanities, Ignatius Ajuru University of Education has emerged as the second recipient of the university one million naira cash award to best graduating student.
She was presented with the one million naira cash award in addition to several other cash awards and prizes during the 38th convocation ceremony of the university which held on Friday December 18, 2020 at the university auditorium.
Miss Igbonekwu expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor of IAUE Professor Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele for good leadership, discipline, peace, enabling environment and for transforming and raising the university to a pinnacle of excellence both academically and structurally.
She further thanked the Dean of Faculty of Humanities Professor Kingdom Orji and Lecturers in the Department of English and Communication Art, for the zeal and commitment with which they taught, stressing that her academic excellence is as a result of their tutelage, advice, inspiring words, relentless and untiring support as well as an indication that effective teaching and learning took place within the space of four academic sessions.
