NBAIS Releases 2026 External SAISSCE Results, Records Zero Examination Malpractice Nationwide


The National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS) has officially released the results of the 2026 External Senior Arabic and Islamic Secondary School Certificate Examination (SAISSCE). The release was announced on Tuesday, February 4, 2026, at the Board’s Headquarters.
According to the results, the 2025 External SAISSCE recorded an impressive 79 percent pass rate in core subjects thus reflecting steady improvement in candidates’ academic performance nationwide. Subject-by-subject analysis shows strong outcomes across key disciplines, with Physics recording an 86 percent pass rate, Biology 89 percent, Chemistry 85 percent, English Language 88 percent, and Mathematics 89 percent.
In a notable milestone, NBAIS confirmed that the examination was conducted without a single recorded case of examination malpractice across the country, underscoring the Board’s commitment to integrity, transparency, and strict adherence to examination standards.
While announcing the results, the Registrar of NBAIS Prof. Yahuza Sulaiman Imam also declared the commencement of internal registration for the 2026 SAISSCE, urging eligible schools and candidates to take advantage of the registration window and comply fully with established guidelines.
NBAIS is a federal government agency mandated to conduct examinations leading to the award of the Basic Arabic and Islamic School Certificate and the Senior Arabic and Islamic School Certificate. The Board also plays a strategic role in the integration of Arabic and Islamic schools into Nigeria’s mainstream education system, ensuring quality assurance, standardization, and national recognition.
The Registrar reaffirms the Board’s resolve to sustain credible examination processes and to continue strengthening the educational development of Integrated Arabic and Islamic institutions, in line with the national policy on education.
