A brilliant Nigerian graduate, Dorcas Rotimi, recently earned her bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, graduating with 4 distinctions and winning 5 prestigious awards, including the title of best graduating student in her department.
Her outstanding performance in key courses—4th Professional Exams, Clinical Education, Clinical Procedures, and Clinical Evaluation—earned her widespread recognition. Sharing her success on LinkedIn, Dorcas described the achievement as a “dream come true.”

Dorcas began her university journey at age 16 after excelling in high school, driven by a strong determination to succeed academically. She was awarded the Federal Scholarship for three years, valued at ₦750,000, and was inducted as a licensed Physiotherapist into the Medical Rehabilitation Therapist Board of Nigeria (MRTBN).
Beyond academics, Dorcas was active in leadership, serving as Class Representative II for five years, a representative in the Student Union Government, and a member of the Nigerian Association of Physiotherapy Students’ Council. She also served as Director of the UNMERSA Visibility Committee and as Nigeria’s Key Contact for the World Physiotherapy Future Network.
Her accomplishments included over 150 volunteer hours, 30 certifications, and numerous projects, for which she received the NeuroRehab Academic and Volunteer Excellence Award. Reflecting on her journey, she emphasized the importance of staying focused despite challenges, expressing gratitude for the support from her family, mentors, and the LinkedIn community.
