Cursory: Nigerian on social media reacts after a lady shared her concerns about newly admitted students of FUTO were extorted by their fellow student on their matriculation day.

It is no longer news that old students takes advantage of freshers naivety. It is good to know that someone had spoken up.
The lady identified by her TikTok handle as @esty1183, shared that she alongside her friend were subjected to demands for money by individuals who positioned themselves at various junctions leading to the university and were asking students for money.
According to Esty, they were asked to pay N2,500 at each junction, making it N10,000 by the end of the day.
The young lady raising a concern to newly admitted students of Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) on their matriculation day expresses her frustration.
“Just for us to go for our matriculation, my fellow students concluded that we will pay them N2,500 for each junction. That’s before you reach school you will spend like 10 to 15k. This isn’t fair at all,” the lady said.
