Nigerian Lady Achieves Double First-Class Honours in Law, Celebrates Outstanding Success

Christiana Onyinyechi Ufomba achieved double first-class honours in law from Abia State University and the Nigerian Law School, overcoming challenges through dedication and aiming to further her studies at top global universities.

A brilliant Nigerian scholar, Christiana Onyinyechi Ufomba, has made history by earning a double first-class degree in law, excelling both at Abia State University and the Nigerian Law School.

Christiana graduated in 2020 as the best student in her faculty with a first-class Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree. She later attended the Nigerian Law School, where she maintained her academic excellence by also earning a first-class, qualifying as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

In an interview with Edureaders, she shared that she never set out to achieve first-class honours but remained determined and consistent in her studies. She intensified her efforts after discovering she was eligible for a scholarship test by the Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria (BOSAN). Despite setbacks, including an incorrectly recorded grade in a 4-unit course, she persevered and succeeded.

To replicate her undergraduate success in law school, Christiana adopted an even more rigorous study approach, doubling her study time, reviewing past questions, and listening to recorded notes on days she felt weak.

Looking ahead, she hopes to work with top organizations to develop her skills, handle complex legal cases, and learn from industry experts. She also aspires to further her education at prestigious institutions such as the University of Oxford, Harvard Law School, the University of Cambridge, Stanford Law School, and New York University.
