It takes some 20yrs – Nigerian Man Achieves Professorship at US Varsity Just 6yrs After PhD

Cursory: Zeribe Chike Nwosu, a talented Nigerian scholar, achieved a Professorship at Cornell University in New York, just six years after his PhD. He expressed gratitude to the university and excitement about participating in the NIH Cornell FIRST program. Zeribe Chike Nwosu, a highly accomplished Nigerian scholar, has achieved a remarkable milestone by obtaining a Professorship at Cornell University in New York, a mere six years after completing his PhD Degree.

Prior to this prestigious appointment, Professor Zeribe Nwosu served as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Michigan, United Kingdom. He began his academic journey at Ebonyi State University in Nigeria, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science(MLS).

Subsequently, he pursued further studies at the London Metropolitan University, UK, where he successfully obtained a Master’s degree in Biomedical Science. In 2013, he commenced his Doctorate (PhD) Degree at Heidelberg University, Germany, culminating in the attainment of his highest academic degree in science in 2017.

Upon receiving his PhD, Dr. Zeribe Nwosu’s exceptional achievements and dedication to research led to his appointment as a Professor at Cornell University, United Kingdom, where he expressed his gratitude to the university’s management for the opportunity to pursue his research endeavors.

In a LinkedIn announcement, he joyfully shared his acceptance of the Assistant Professor (tenure-track) position at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, USA.

“I am excited to share that I have accepted an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) position at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, USA,” he wrote.

He added that he will also be participating in the National Institute Of Health Program that was recently launched in the university.

“I will also participate in the recently launched NIH Cornell FIRST program designed to foster the career growth of faculty members of diverse background,” he added.

While concluding his announcement, Dr. Zeribe Nwosu extended his heartfelt appreciation to his friends, family, mentors, and colleagues, all of whom played crucial roles in supporting and contributing to his academic success.
