A Nigerian man, Favour Ezema, has achieved a significant milestone by graduating from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, after starting his career with only a West African School Certificate (WAEC).
Initially, Ezema began teaching English at St. Andrew’s Secondary School in Ibagwa-Ani, Enugu State, where his talent was quickly recognized. Encouraged by his vice principal, Ugwoke Oloto Odobo, he decided to further his education.
Ezema pursued a degree in English and Literary Studies at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and successfully graduated. His inspiring story, shared on Facebook by Ugwoke, highlights how Ezema has now transitioned from relying solely on his WAEC certificate to using the knowledge and experience gained during his university studies.
Reactions to Ezema’s Graduation
Ijeoma Ugwoke commented: “That’s great. It’s good to engage in something that yields money as long as it’s not a bad thing. I am really very proud of you.”
