Two Nigerians have shared how love made them abandon their scholarship to study abroad only to still be dumped by their lovers.

This is coming after a 22-year-old lady who got a scholarship to study abroad was told by her boyfriend who had promised her marriage to either reject her scholarship or forget about him.
Reacting to her dilemma, three different Nigerians shared their own story on how they chose love over their education and yet was dumped by their lovers.
Twitter user, @LogicalySpeakn revealed that in 2012, he wanted to join either Customs or DSS and the minimum requirement was a second-class lower, but he graduated with a 3rd class.
So the only way for him was to do a postgraduate programme, which his brother offered to sponsor him abroad for.
He, however turned down the offer because he wanted to be with his girlfriend in Nigeria. So he had to forego the school programme and government jobs.
Sadly for him, it was during his National Youth Service that his girl dumped. He knocked himself over the decision saying he was stupid.
In his words; ”2012 me, I graduated wit 3rdy. I needed 2.2 at least to get into customs or dss. I needed to do a pgd, elder bro was willing to sponsor but I wanted to be in 9ja to be with my Kemi instead. So I chose NYSC as the next stage. I got served hot breakfast during D NYSC. I was stupid.”
In similar news, Amanda Chisom also narrated the story of how she sacrificed her ambition for her boyfriend but the man ended up leaving her in the cold.
According to her, she got a scholarship to pursue a degree abroad but had to abandon the offer because she wanted to stay with her boyfriend in Nigeria
She said this on her Facebook page which reads:
“You know in 2013 I got a scholarship in the University of Reading in the UK. I wrote my IETLS and everything. I chose man over the scholarship, I could not imagine leaving my boyfriend in Nigeria to go abroad. See me now my brain don partially block, how I wan take go school again.
“Man I chose, is his wife’s house eating rice me I am here lonely. If i ever get the chance to do it all over again I will avoid man with all my strength till I hit 30 years.“
