The North West Development Commission NWDC Notice on Cancellation Of Foreign Scholarship Scheme


The North West Development Commission (NWDC) announces the cancellation of applications for foreign scholarships, in line with the Federal Government’s recent directive to prioritize local education in Nigeria.
This decision follows the Federal Government’s announcement on May 7, 2025, which was signed by the Director Press and PR of Federal Ministry of Education, Mrs Boriowo Folasade, emphasizing the importance of strengthening local educational institutions and promoting indigenous capacity building.
The NWDC is committed to aligning its programs and initiatives with the Federal Government’s policies and priorities. The commission will provide updates on further opportunities and programs in due course for the development of the region.
