Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) Matriculation Ceremony Date for 2025/2026 Academic Session has been Announced.


Olabisi Onabanjo University (formerly Ogun State University), P.M.B. 2002, Ago-Iwoye, Nigeria, has announced that the Matriculation Ceremony for freshmen admitted for the 2025/2026 Academic Session will hold on Thursday, January 8, 2026 as Orientation Programme is slated for January 6 & 7, 2026
The ceremony is scheduled to commence at 11:00 a.m. at the Otunba Gbenga Daniel Hall, Main Campus, Ago-Iwoye. It will be presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ayodeji Agboola, in the presence of other Principal Officers of the University. Provosts and Deans of Colleges and Faculties are also expected to present their freshmen for the mandatory oath-taking exercise.
To this end, every fresher is required to make an online payment of Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira (₦2,500.00) only via https://payments.oouagoiwoye.edu.ng and obtain a receipt for the collection of the Academic Gown at their respective College or Faculty Offices.
In a related development, the 2025/2026 Orientation Programme for newly admitted students has been slated for Monday, January 6 and Tuesday, January 7, 2026, at the Otunba Gbenga Daniel Hall, Main Campus, Ago-Iwoye, beginning at 8:00 a.m. each day.
Freshmen and members of the University community are hereby informed and advised to ensure full compliance, as the Vice-Chancellor is expected to declare the orientation programme open, with other members of the University Management in attendance.
Freshmen are to note that attendance at both the Orientation Programme and the Matriculation Ceremony is compulsory. They are also mandated to put on their matriculation gowns and be seated at the venue on Thursday, January 8, 2026, by 9:00 a.m.
The Ceremony, which commences at 11.00 a.m., will be presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ayodeji Agboola in the presence of other Principal Officers of the University. Provosts and Deans of various Colleges and Faculties respectively are also expected to present their freshmen for the mandatory Oath- taking at the venue.
To this end, every fresher is expected to make an online payment of the sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira (N2,500.00) only via the link: https://payments.oouagoiwoye.edu.ng and obtain Receipt for the collection of the Academic Gown at his/her respective College/Faculty Office.
Freshmen are, therefore, mandated to put on their Matriculation Gowns and be seated at the venue of the event by 9.00a.m.
